The Magic Fat Loss Pill!

In this day and age everything is revolved around fat loss, getting in shape. People are obsessed! You try this diet, that diet, low carb diets, fat burners or 'The Magic Pill'. Fat loss pills will help you to lose some unwanted body fat if they are used correctly. Unfortunately though most people who use them are looking for the easy way out of hard work and good eating habits.

The most important factors to burning fat and get you into shape are:

  1. Healthy eating

  2. Exercising

  3. Eating the right amount

When do you burn the most fat? At low-medium intensity! You are going to actually burn more fat walking home from the gym after your weights session than you would if you did Joe Wicks 20 minutes of HIIT a day. Shots fired.

At the end of the day it all comes into calories in vs calories out.

Fat burners then are to help supplement the energy not burned through your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate), which, accounts for 70-80% of your daily energy expenditure. The things you do on a daily basis will factor your BMR, things such as how much you eat or exercise, how tall you are, how much muscle mass you have. You will normally burn around 6kcal per hour for every pound (lb) of muscle you have on your body. This is why I favor lifting weights for fat loss. So the actual effects of fat burners are to target the other 20-30% of energy

expenditure.

So do I need fat burners? No, not really.

If you are struggling to lose fat, you are not alone. Rather than look for the magic pill have a look at the actually important factors to burning fat. Eat less, move more and be more consistent.
